Amazon does listen to customer feedback
I was on their help chat, and when I mentioned about the authors not being shown on emailed books, the person I was with was checking some kind of list of complaints or red-flags that have been brought up by more than one person. She said that she was surprised no one else has brought it to their attention, and that it should be flagged as an urgent thing for the developers to look at. I know that in the past when I complained about stuff, it got changed.
If more than a few people specifically tell them about this, they will fix it.
I found that their help chat or calling them and asking to speak to someone in Kindle support or customer feedback works.
