Conspiracy theory: GoodEReader works for Kobo

Or at the very least is is highly biased towards Kobo. I can’t help but notice how GoodEReader tends to gush about Kobo and plug their services. I’ve read more than a few Kobo related blog posts on there that seem like a paid sales pitch than an objective review. There’s hardly any criticism of Kobo in the same vein as Amazon, B&N, and others.

For example, why do they keep hyping Kobo’s obscure indie book subscription service? They’ve posted about it multiple times this year already without mentioning any of its downsides including the fact that it has a much smaller selection than Amazon. Yet they made a hate post a few years ago trashing B&N’s self-publishing service and another instructing people how to cancel Kindle Unlimited.

Anyone else get the feeling that Good EReader is shilling for Kobo?
