I install the normal (or regular) and the bold. Ideally there should be 4 files: Regular, RegularItalic, Bold, BoldItalic.
The others weight can be reached trough the boldness settings. I don't remember what happens if You install the medium or the light (the light is generally too light for a ereader), for example, may be they are seen like another font from Your Kindle, not the same of the Regular.
