Loder, Vernon: The Shop Window Murders (1930); v1; 21 Sep 2020

Vernon Loder (John George Haslette Vahey, 1881-1938) was one of the many industrious writers of detective fiction in the period between the Wars.

Under about 5 pseudonyms he produced about 30 novels, but most were under the Vernon Loder name.

This novel is set in a giant store not unlike Harrods or Selfridges, and the characters have some rather curious surnames.
