Note, you can even pin widgets so they always show on home screen after hiding other widgets (swipe down twice in Today View). I prefer a cleaner look so I usually keep just the weather widget.

Thanks, that is much cleaner looking and a swipe up brings back the widgets you hid.
Hopefully we will start to get some 3rd party widgets before too long.
