I can't think of any features I would like added to an e-ink device, outside of the larger screen size, especially since the lighting and contrast technology has improved so much over the past decade. Maybe Qi charging or a cover that could also copy and display the cover art of the book I'm reading. (The single thing I don't like about electronic readers is not being able to see the book cover before I start reading.)

I'm looking hard at the Kobo Forma and Amazon Oasis, but am having trouble justifying the $300 when my current electronic reader is an 11" iPad Pro. It's a little too much for reading (too heavy, too bright) but I can settle for this easier than I can settle for a smaller screen (not enough words, too many page turns.)

I would buy a new eink reader if they would offer an additional incentive to offset the price -- like a complimentary Kobo VIP membership or a discounted Kindle Unlimited subscription.

On one hand, I feel like the prices should be coming down, but on the other, hand it appears to be even more of a niche market now than when they first came out; the small production and sales will keep the prices high.
