@helpplease, the NCX ToC is fully clickable. You can view the NCX ToC without actually changing the page and then if you decide not to do anything, have to find your way back. Not all reading software has a back button. So you'd have to know where you were to find your way back easily.
Also, having every chapter header as a link is no end of annoying. When I find them, they have to go. I also dump the internal ToC you so like as there is absolutely no need for it.
