I see you answered my query on Amazon as well, Bruce, but for anyone else who might have this problem in the future, I'll cut and paste my reply:

I managed to get the display back to normal, but in answer to your question, Bruce: Nothing appeared where the box for the URL is supposed to be... just empty space with "Basic Mode" or "Advanced Mode." That whole area up at the top with the box for the URL with the selections for "reload," "Google," "Wikipedia," etc., was simply missing. However, I was connected to and was navigating a page on a web site, and followed links from that web site to other web sites. All that time, nothing but the "mode" was listed at the top of the screen... no URL line to tell me what web site I was on. So when I hit "Enter URL," the cursor did not jump to the URL line because there was no URL line to jump to.

I eventually got it back to how it was supposed to be by punching the "Home," button, then "Menu," then selecting Search, typing a URL in the empty field, and selecting "Go to Web." This finally made the URL field appear again at the top of the screen, and from then on everything functioned as it was supposed to, and I could use the "search URL" feature again. Don't know what happened, but it does appear to be some sort of glitch.
