Yes you can. I have the a couple of books with them and you can download them with the Android app. Once downloaded you will find them here:

Internal Storage / Android / data / com.audiobooks.androidapp / files / books

They will be named in the format 123456.mp3 rather than the name of the book itself and the mp3 files do not appear to have any protection on them.

Grab one of their free titles first if you are unsure and want to check it out yourself.

Just like Audible, once you own a book from them you can access it with their app even after you cancel your membership.
