first, I've donated time to DP, so...my next comment isn't a slam at them, but the version I got that was not formatted remotely correctly
WAS the DP Canada version. Block-style paragraphs, no first-line-indent, no space between (for block style, I mean...it's necessary). I do not know why on earth it would come out that way, but, sho'nuff, it did.
Anyway...another kind soul--two of you, in fact--have pointed me to the old BM archives and I'm cheerfully Doc Savaging my way through September. At least, that's my plan.
