No, it works just the same on other Android devices, such as my Samsung tablet or my Google phone. That's just the way it's designed; very similar to Apple software. Even more confusing, certain options can only be set when a book is opened, as opposed to from the app screen itself.

There are certain features which, for me, make the software design acceptable overall. I think, as with most software, the more I use it (struggle through, search on forums, etc), the more I'll simply get used to it.

The MobileRead forums are very helpful; there's only a few other random scatterings of web pages devoted to Moon+, so unfortunately it is a more effort-intensive process to better understand how to use the sofware.
