Hi guys, I just bought a Kindle PW3, the 3G variant specifically G090G4 Kindle PaperWhite 3 (2015) 3G + WiFi (Mexico) alias PW3, PW3GM.

Unfortunately it came with the latest firmware 5.13.2. After reading a while it seems like serial jailbreak is my only option at this point, can anybody confirm this?

Additionally in case serial JB is my only option, I'm looking for serial adaper options and found this .
It seems like the vcc line is 5v so i'll have to use an LDO or level shifter for that line only, correct?. Anyway, can anybody point me in the right direction as to how to start this process?
