I'm listening to the Beatles US catalog on Spotify. Since these LPs don't exist on Spotify, I had to create a playlist to mimic them. This is what I grew up listening to and it's still my preferred listening order.
Until Sgt Pepper, Beatles LPs in the US contained fewer songs (11 vs 14) and frequently added songs from other LPs and singles. Capitol really screwed things up. Then starting with Sgt Pepper, Capitol was no longer allowed to alter the track listings (finally).
