I think it's a race condition under the covers. My guess is that the script that mounts the drive decides to run a filesystem check in the background and exits. Meanwhile, Nickel looks and finds the card not mounted and asks if you want to format it. Meanwhile, the filesystem check has finished and the card is mounted and everything works normally except for the stupid dialog.
Occasionally, it takes longer for it to finish, and the books don't show up. Rebooting always fixes it if I wait long enough first, but I suspect using NickelMenu to retrigger the import books would fix that.

thanks for the info. it doesn't do it every single time, but most of it. what makes it annoying is the message won't go on it's own, i have to either click ok or close it myself otherwise it stays on the screen. on the older 3.16.0 firmware which i still have on another device the same message shows, but disappears after a few seconds.
