Yep, and I didn't mean to trivialize - just adding info, and actuallly I'm a good example of who your comment was aimed at, since I ended up looking up Pushkin Vertigo a while back trying to figure out what in the heck was going on

, after I read two titles in their "series" by Seishi Yokomizo, and then got confused that there was a "series" that wasn't just Yokomizo's books.
I'm still not sure that this sort of branding will work now, because I think folks are a lot less likely these days, with all of the info available via the Internet, to follow someone else's recommendations in that way. OTOH

, I admit to having tried a couple of Amazon Crossing books that I was otherwise sort of
meh on, and AC was one factor in trying them since I had liked other AC books. But that's more an imprint than a "series".
