And I was going to impulse buy it. I mean I’d give a dollar to practically anyone and the author probably spent at least a couple years writing those 2200 pages. I had an image of this poor and destitute idealist sitting in a curb somewhere and I was going to hit the Buy Now button but then came a crushing realization. I saw that this series was ‘free’ with my Kindle Unlimited subscription. I forgot to cancel. Again.

My wife came in to give me a kiss and after I told her, she angrily stomped out.
