searching and finding suggestion for editor

I would like to offer an idea for changes to the calibre Editor. There are 3 ways to search/find text:

Ctrl-F is (1) in the editing panel, (2) not on/off toggle, (3) not dockable, (4) not resizable below minimum width, (5) its internal components do not reflow, (6) not tabable.

Super-Alt-S (text search) (1) is intended for the viewer panel (2) is on/off toggle, (3) is dockable above, below, or to the side of the viewing panel, (4) is not resizable below minimum width, (5) its internal components do not reflow, (6) not tabable.

Super-Alt-S (saved searches) (1) can be placed anywhere, (2) on/off toggle, (3) is dockable, (4) is not resizable below minimum width, (5) its internals do not reflow, (6) tabable.

This is a personal preference, not any which kind of bug. I would prefer if Ctrl-F were an on/off toggle like the rest. Since it relates only to the editing area it need not be dockable, but I would prefer if the editing width could remain narrow, in which case the internals would need to reflow. Similarly, I would prefer if Super-Alt-S and Super-Alt-F could reflow and be made narrower.

For all I know, none of this is possible or worth doing. Just an idea. Thank you for the consideration and for this the best of all programs.

Best regards, Pop
