I usually convert epub books to mobi using Calibre, as I want to read them on PC too and the azw3 format is difficult to read there. Lately I've been forced to convert them to azw3 instead, as new mobi files are not showing up in my Kindle.
The azw3's have been downloaded from Amazon, but that particular book I wasn't able to open has been converted from mobi using Calibre.
