While I don't disagree with you that koboy is drastically overestimating the number of people who care about the removal of this feature he did say those who aren't lamenting the feature being dropped "probably" didn't use it much or at all.

But try not to put much stock in these complaints, he's also whinged about Kobo since around or before the H2O v1 era, and is very obviously nitpicking over this feature to reaffirm his decision to stick with the tiled home screen version of the firmware. In my opinion there is little short of bringing that home screen back that Kobo could do that'd satisfy Koboy in terms of UI/UX, any other change he doesn't love is just icing on the cake.

I find it's much easier to treat his statements the same as many do a certain other persons claims that you must absolutely use a case for your ereader, or their railings against USB C, and how Nook has sheathed their devices in rubber.
