That certainly looks accurate and I can confirm it's definitely an issue on a KOA.


It's actually got slightly worse since 2020.07.01 (I haven't put 2020.08.1 on yet as I've only just seen it's been released) as now when exiting a book the rotation is wrong and you have to rotate the KOA for it to re-sync, then everything is fine whilst in KOReader.


It's only an issue when restarting KOReader and I just have to remember to hold my Kindle the right way up or suffer the pain of trying to shut it down while everything is upside down but the key presses think it's the right way up (not sure I've explained that bit too well).


I thought I'd remembered seeing a bug report that you updated to say it was a firmware issue, but having re-read it the issue was different but your comment was about rotation on a KOA2, https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/5160


Some versions of KOReader seem to be worse for it than others, I still love the software over native though
