Eink screens are made entirely differently than phone screens if you're thinking that since your phone can withstand pressure, so should your ereader. Phone screens can take quite a bit of abuse, as can tablets. But as already said, eink screens are more fragile and will break if flexed even slightly from uneven pressure anywhere on the screen or any twisting motion.
Unless you have a Kobo Forma with a plastic backed screen. But even so, I would not put undue stress on a Forma.
