My 2005 Toyota Prius had 350,000+ miles on it when I totaled it last year (which didn’t take much at that point). The A/C had gone out, but I was planning to get that fixed and keep going.

But I’m less inclined to hang onto old ereaders (I have a Kindle 1 and a Kindle Touch in my museum), except to trade in for a new one.
