Is there not a Wi-Fi Transfer function built into the Boox devices? So no need to connect to the internet or cloud servers if you just want to transfer a file from one device to the Boox.
Disclaimer: haven't used this in anger myself but I am aware it exists. I use Google Drive and DropBox because then I can sync files across a number of different devices.
