I looked into this idea once and considered ordering a USB2go but then I found out it can be difficult to actually find all the books on the phone. If I use Solid Explorer and look at the Books folder I can see some, but not all of the books that I know I own. For example, I know I've bought books from both Google Play and Kobo within the last month, but if I sort the books folder by date the most recent one that shows up is much older. Doing a search for .epub files didn't work either.
According to what I found via a Google search back whenever I was considering this, Google Play intentionally makes the book files difficult, if not impossible to find in order to discourage copying. Maybe some other bookstores are better for this?
