@warbrd: Thank you for the suggestion. To me the Inkpad X is still the better choice. Both have a 10.3” screen but with the Remarkable I have to deal with a cloud and use a pen (two hands) to flip pages.
@MarjaE: Though I'm not going to buy a Kindle, I appreciate all the additional information. I knew about Calibre and Ghostscript but not about k2pdfopt. So thank you for mentioning it.
@meeera: Thank you. I see your point but I already have a tablet and I don't like using it for reading. To me the Inkpad X appears to be a better option. Mainly because of its screen and battery life. I think it can handle papers good enough and comics are at the bottom of the list; I haven't read one in ages.
