Hmm with me it's the other way around. I used to haul a big bag around when I was young. Nowadays it's just a tiny handbag with my bank cards, phone, a comb and a pack of tissues. I'm not in the risk group for Covid, so don't use masks or sanitizers (very few people use them here, mostly elderly and/or people with major health problems. While I do have slightly elevated blood pressure, it's not serious and is under control with medication). I have very bad eyesight, so I wear my glasses constantly and don't have to carry them in my bag.
