Apps and software get updated. It's not difficult to keep up with those updates and update or not.

Shouldn't the title be "'Irritated with Calibre"or something?

Is Calibre even officially supported by Kobo?

People complain about Kobo but this is not a Kobo issue. It's something outside of Kobo or doing something outside the Kobo system. Dragged down a rabbit hole by Kobo topics like this thinking it's related to Kobo usage but it's not related to standard Kobo usage.
