My wife's new laptop will have an SD Card slot, a single 3.5 mm audio input/output jack and four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. That's it. Everything goes through those glorified USB-C ports — the power supply can be attached to any one of them and, I think, they all can be used for video output. Nowhere to plug in her Logitech wireless mice or her USB thumb drives. Makes for a sleek laptop (Dell XPS)... up until the time you start attaching multiple adapters to use it with various peripherals. It comes with two adapters, one USB-C to USB adapter and one USB-C to HDMI adapter, but others can be attached. We ordered a Bluetooth mouse, so already making adjustments to accommodate the change.
