I haven't read either, so I'll defer to your knowledge. I just remember that he's written a a couple of series set in early England, one was loosely based on Arthur and one has a lot of books in it. I think there is also a Grail series set more in the 14th or 15th century and an American Civil War series.

I have some of the Sharpe series in paper, but it's one of those series that I haven't gotten the eBooks year. The prices of the Kindle editions are all over the place. Some for $6, others for $14 which is a bit more than I'm willing to pay for the books. This is one of those series kind of like the Hornblower series, you can read it in chronological order or published order. The first book published was the 8th book chronologically. The one I liked the most was Sharpe's Rifles which is more or less in the middle both chronologically (6th) and publishing (9th).
