I can only compare the devices I have, and the question had to do with how it would compare with 2016 HD8, which I don’t have. So the 2017 may give some notion of this as it is slower than current and presumably faster than the 2016.

The RAM boost should make some difference that is measurable, whether it is significant or noticeable depends on the use case.

For me wireless charging alone was worth the extra cost (I think only $10-15 because I bought during recent 30% off sale).
