Western style comics or European BDs are much larger and primarily in color. A 6" e-ink screen just wouldn't work well for them. Even with color.
A 10" tablet is okay, but even there they feel squeezed. My Surface with 12.3" screen and 3:2 ratio is about perfect for comics (bit heavy though).

That's true, but my reading material was Western comics only. If I can recall off the top of my head,
Preacher and
Midnighter were two examples of comics that fit the Kobo Clara HD screen pretty well.
I have read several other series on it too. I think what bothers some is the smaller text but it's just fine for me. I guess should've specified Western comics not manga.
