The KoboTouchExtended driver doesn't touch the comments in the metadata. It changes the contents of the books to the kepub, but leaves the metadata to the standard send-to-device actions.

The plugin can update the metadata on the device, but, it simply updates the database with the metadata from the library. After using any appropriate metadata plugboard.
