1. Do you have a file named metadata.db where your author folders are? That would be the database where all the calibre information is stored. If there is no such file, you have to add the books manually to Calibre (Add books -> Add from directories and sub-directories).

2. If you don't have the metadata.db file, you cannot use the CC either, not until Calibre has reconstructed the database. After you have added all the books to Calibre as instructed above, the simplest way is to connect the CC app over wifi to Calibre (Calibre must be open on your computer).
