Yeah. It also makes feet/inch marks into primes.
I was amazed to see that. Most "smart quotes" as in MSWord, convert these to curly quotation marks, which look absurd (
She was 5’2”) in most fonts, yet I see it in print all the time. Once they've been "primed" they are immune to being screwed up by "smart quotes". In print layout I often made the figures into words to avoid that (five feet, two inches) when it was difficult to turn off the conversion.
