I sympathize if for whatever reason the link doesn't work for you. I'm planning to continue to use it when I share a link, but certainly won't be offended if other people choose not to. Either way, people may have to modify the links to meet their needs.

This is all true. I have made a donation choice at Amazon.com, but a smile link here from MR will still direct me to simply amazon.com and not to the book in question. Not a big problem but still somewhat annoying.
