New Onyx Boox Note 2 touch issues

Hello, I just got a Note 2, installed the firmware update.
I am having trouble with touch, I have sent feedback and videos to Onyx and they basically told me it's difficult to fix...

Can you tell me if you experience similar problems or maybe I have a defective device?

What happens:
1) In Neo Reader palm rejection is terrible. With touch on I can scribble perhaps one in three times without activating random touch inputs. With Pinch to Zoom off it is a little better. With Custom touch areas to deactivate the bottom part it still gets random touch inputs. With touch disabled from the floating tool bar it works, but if I use the pen to select the text the palm interrupts the input anyway.
The only way is to disable touch from the drop down menu, then everything works fine.
2) Today (happened only once) upon waking up touch did not work, even though it was activated. I had to reboot the device.
3) In Neo Reader and in the Kindle app swipe to turn page sometimes just stops working
4) Happened a couple of times, but no longer does: touch gets 'stuck' as if I kept the finger in a fixed point on the screen. It keeps turning pages/opening an app, etc. until I reboot.

The only thing that is constant is number 1. Touch disabled problem solved, but still I would like to understand if touch is just buggy or if I might have a defective device.

Thanks!
