Question Sending files wirelessly to Kobo fro Mac

Ok, I'm aware this will likely require telnet, I'm aware that can be enabled on all Kobos with wifi (or at least any of the ones released in say the last 5 years, but let me get back on to the topic. I'm potentially not going to be able to plug my Kobo in to my Mac (just because I'm out of USB ports, and don't really wanna shell out for a USB hub just for the sake of connecting my Kobo).

I'm tech savy, not an idiot, but I know what I do not know and that folks here do know (or at least probably mostly know I dunno how many of the tinkering folks use a Mac).

So here's what I want to be able to do

1) send firmware updates and patches to the appropriate folder

2) send images to the screensaver folder

I'm aware I can use OS X's Terminal to do this with telnet (once its enabled) but would prefer a GUI client, recommendations are of course welcome but I understand if none of you know of one for Mac, i can probably find one on my own).

What I need to know:

How do I enable telnet (preferably with an on/off option I can disable/enable as I wish just so the device is secure), and how do I then connect to my Kobo from my Mac.

Bonus points if I can do this with NickleMenu, extra bonus points for walking me through what the config I'd need to make would look like. I am at least capable of making those

I know there are threads with various telnet etc. tools, but I didn't want to derail those with this question, especially as the one that's most active seems to include quite a bit more than I need.

Thanks in advance
