the shums are having a party in the schoolyard outside my kitchen window. each class is dressed up in outlandish costumes with crazy hats made out of huge amounts of coloured paper and what looks like sandwich cards over their shoulders (more coloured paper, paint, probably glitter and maybe some pasta...
) and they are parading around the courtyard to musical accompaniment. so i'm listening to the sounds of approximately eleventy gajillion shums making relatively less noise than usual, and the 3-person fanfare (trumpet, saxophone, drum) they've hired to play ska music for them.
at least the shums have decent taste in music.
