Thank you very much for mentioning those add-ons. This project does not come close to touching Word, but I'll try to keep those in mind if I do something from Word at some future stage. (I guess I'd have to motivate myself to write some kind of book, or just help someone with that?…)

isn't a word processor. It's not
meant to be. It's a program/app for those who are going to build eBooks.
They work complementarily. Neither is a replacement for the other and that's not the intent. If you are seeking a word processor that's "like Word" that can make eBooks (with less emphasis on clean, viable code), you can spend $45 for Atlantis WP, or Jutoh.
