I guess they'll mostly replace 3G with the not much faster 5MHz channel 4G. The super fast 4G needs 20MHz channels. And any 5G that's faster needs bigger still channels on bands that only work in cafés or open-plan instead of WiFi. Or Sports stadiums and race-courses. The regular bands don't have the space for faster than 4G versions of 5G.
The Telcos are buying vendor hype.
