My understanding is that many publishers will schedule a book a year after they have been turned in. My guess is that it was turned in some time ago and likely the whole edit process is done as well. I got a pre-order email on Patrica Briggs next book a couple of weeks ago and that comes out next March.


This probably isn't the thread to go into too much speculation, etc. since it's the Jim Butcher thread. Ready, Player Two is listed for $15 on the Kindle and is listed as 384 pages, so it's most certain that all the editing and everything is done. It's also available for pre-order in audio book, but no narrator is listed yet. Ready, Player One was narrated by Wil Wheaton.
