I haven't compared my Touch to a modern device (I guess my Glo HD isn't modern enough), but I'll have access to a Forma in a couple of days (this is the most modern device which I "own"), and I'll report back.
This is my 10 year old Kindle 3 (keyboard) compared to my one year old Oasis 3.
