I believe Analog has some science articles in it, not just stories, so Asimovs would be the way to go if you're just wanting fiction. As far as the flavor of Sci-fi, all the mags have a fairly broad view of what is sci-fi or speculative fiction, and they all seem to have a very wide variety of types. You won't get stuck with a space opera mag. lol

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I've checked them out and found some interesting ones, and I'm currently crawling through the Sci-fi section at FW. For kicks I'll post my list of what I ended up getting after I order this weekend.
