Binns, Ottwell: The Lavenham Treasure (1932); v1; 17 July 2020

From the serial in the "Evening News", Sydney NSW, 1936

Spanish John and his band of roughnecks have established themselves in a pub on Dartmoor, and it seems they are in search of the legendary Lavenham Treasure, concealed somewhere on the moor by the long-dead privateer Henry Lavenham.

The clue to the location is said to be in the current Lavenham family's house, and the hunt is on.

Fairly short, and possibly condensed a little for serialisation, as was often the case. 55.000 words. I could find no cover, so I made one up using part of an old postcard photo of a Tor on Dartmoor
