Being able to hold the Forma comfortably and securely without a cover is my favorite thing about it. With a cover, it becomes heavier and feels like any other ereader. I mostly read at home now and I've never broken an ereader. It's a small risk and it's worth it to me. I can't hold a heavier ereader for long, so with anything but the Forma I need to use a stand. That's fine when I'm sitting at a table but less convenient for reading in bed or easy chair. I keep the Forma in a padded case when I'm not reading.
When I leave the house I take a different ereader, a smaller one with a case.

Thing is, you can get an Origami case that allows the case to be used as a stand. The Forma is not as easy to break because it has a plastic backed screen.
