Onyx Boox Max 2 Bootloop after Firmware Update

Hi,

I purchased an Onyx Boox Max 2 from Amazon.com in early April 2018.

It has been working well, and then after I installed a firmware update in August 2018, it has been going into an infinite bootloop every time I start the device. I have contacted the customer service, and then was directed to the customer service in Hong Kong, who, upon hearing the symptoms, said that it might be a hardware issue, and asked me to send to their service center at Hong Kong, and pay $350 + shipping fees.

It is strange to me, because the device has been working perfectly before the firmware update, so I want to kindly ask if anyone has experienced similar issue and if you have came up with a solution.

(and you might ask why the issue in August 2018 is brought up now...) Simply because, I gave up after hearing the $350++ fees, and had many other things to deal with after that...

Thanks for your help!

Sincerely,
