Why I love my Iliad, from Ali the SCNR: I love my Iliad because it has a large screen that is not clobbered up with things (like the status bar on the Sony - that's space your wasting there, guys!) It runs for ages - I keep it in my backpack, read in the train to and from my work (thats 1.5h, per tour!), and just have to plug in the lightweight power chord every sunday or so. Thanks to arivero's IliNas program (download it from openiliad.org, dudes!), it will automatically start its WLAN connectivity when on power, and I can download and upload content over WebDAV, SMB and NFS - works like a charm! I can even plug my USB harddrive into the Iliad and it will serve that content over WLAN, too! (I guess I lost my USB cable after a PDF presentation I gave at some conference lately... Doesn't matter, but stupid, isn't it?)
All I want is this: First, we should speed up with improving our antialiasing algorithm in libfreetype for xpdf - it already looks so much better, just the right-to-left for hebrew is missing! And I want the german bicycle club to release bike maps around berlin, because IliadOnTour 0.1 was just released and I still have a compact flash GPS card!
