It seems to be about 30 minutes.
In general, it can be a big battery charge saver, but for people that read several times a day separated by over 30 minutes, it could cause the battery to run down faster. I think that and sleep cover misbehavior are the primary causes of the Oasis 2's reputation for poor battery life, although the smaller battery was not a good idea.
