Exactly! Stephen George was a first time author here and likely wasn't up to it, but Shep could easily be turned into a delusional psychotic just as dangerous as the bad guys.

With his world view, he could shoot anyone and justify it by saying they were bad guys.

At any rate, I'm really enjoying the book. I'm on chapter twenty-two. I like that the book doesn't follow any of the usual horror patterns. Each twist and turn feels fresh to me.
