My MC4 is becoming increasingly flaky over the last few days.

It started out by freezing a couple of times when in sleep, requiring a reboot.

Now, occasionally when I'm reading it will show an 'insert-power-cable' screen. When the cable is inserted, it reboots and is okay for a while, before eventually doing it again.

The odd thing is that when it comes back on, the battery does not show as fully-depleted (as you'd expect from the screen), but does show a chunky (approx 10% I think) extra amount missing from the battery.

The reader is fairly new, but out-of-warranty (about 18 months old), so I'm not really seeing a return-for-repair being economic.

Does anybody have a suggested alternative to simply replacing it with a new one (probably a Poke2)?
